Are prices including or excluding VAT?

Our figures are excluding 23% Portuguese VAT, with delivery already included. Beside every figure we also show what you pay including VAT, so you do not have to do the sums.

Can I reclaim the VAT?

If you have a Portuguese business with a valid NIF, yes. We show the VAT separately on the invoice so your accountant can use it.

What does it cost if you install it?

Four hundred and fifty euros a day excluding IVA, and an ordinary set-up is one day. That covers the tie-in to your consumer unit and the DGEG notification, signed by the qualified electrician. An awkward consumer unit or three phases can cost a second day; we say so beforehand.

Is it cheaper if I take two?

The freight is, because two cabinets travel on one pallet. Ask us for your situation; we work it out and tell you what it saves.

May I feed back into the grid?

You may, but it pays little in Portugal. That is why storage is more interesting here than feed-in.

Does the notification change if I add a battery later?

A second battery does not change your generating capacity, so the notification stands. Add panels and you report the new capacity.

What if I do not notify?

Then your installation is not on record. In a claim or a check by the grid operator that is a problem you do not want over a fifteen-minute form.

Do I need special tools?

A drill with masonry bits for the wall bracket, a spirit level, a crimping tool for the battery cables and a torque wrench for the terminals. That is all.

What does a home battery cost in Portugal?

The short answer: a 16 kWh LiFePO4 cabinet costs between two and two and a half thousand euros here excluding VAT, with delivery already included. The long answer is below, with the build-up.

Then we arrange it. We work with one qualified electrician; reckon on a single day’s work for an ordinary set-up.

An awkward consumer unit, a long cable run or three phases can cost a second day. Material that is not in the set — extra cable, an earth rod, a separate circuit — is charged separately. In both cases you hear the figure before we start, not afterwards on the bill.

What a home battery does all day

During the day your panels make more than you use. Without a battery that surplus goes to the grid for next to nothing, and in the evening you buy it back dearly. The cabinet in between takes out that difference.
